Les Dunham Scorpion - I think.

Dorset

First bank holiday weekend in the caravan!  Good weather, awful traffic, epic ice cream, mediocre chips.  I had to join the Camping and Caravan Club to use this site - I don't like clubs, they are NOT COOL, but it was very nice and the cost pretty reasonable.  Monkeyboy was kept awake by our neighbours snoring.    Lulworth Cove  Corfe Castle; quite expensive and not much to see

Greatest car ever

Countach LP400, before the gross bodykits of the '80s ruined the shape.

Really Massive Engines

Monkeyboy and I went to see Star Trek Into Darkness last night, and it was just SUPER .

Home again

Got back home yesterday, I'm always glad to see the back of these projects.  I liked Canada though, certainly the best place I've been work-wise.  Came home on a Boeing 777, massive engines!

I made this

This is the kind of engineering excellence you can expect from somebody of my calibre (actually there was a problem with the server room, so this was just temporary, OK?) No, it's not really that tall.  I've not been up it, can't really be bothered and it's supposed to be quite expensive anyway.  I took this photo from one of the endless English pubs we keep ending up in (they're not at all English though).  Not been to Niagra Falls either - didn't want to go on a bus, couldn't really be bothered with hiring a car.  Coming home on Tuesday night so I've probably missed the opportunity now.

A Day Off

Went to the Royal Ontario museum today, spotted these along the way.  All police riders wear short sleeve shirts, and no armour.  This house reminded me of Pixar's "Up" Tastes even worse than it looks - even the pigeons (who are surprisingly polite, like everybody in Canada), won't eat these chips.

Downtown

Went for a wander the other night, spotted this Valiant: Not a great deal of Autoshite on the roads here, unfortunately.  The area my hotel is in was the downtown area around 100 years ago, so there's a lot of interesting and very old buildings, such as these houses - I like how they've commandeered the roof by building a ladder from the balcony. Found a couple of excellent restaurants within a few meters of the hotel, so I've been having large portions of charred meat, fries and various desserts, which isn't good for me.  My room has a kitchen (dunno why, the other hotel had one too so perhaps it's a Canada thing), so might stay in tonight and eat soup. Also discovered the PATH yesterday, it's a network of tunnels and shopping malls under the city.  I wondered where all the people disappeared to at lunchtime.

Canada

I'm on another trip to open another office, this time Toronto.  Here is an aeroplane:  I like to take a photo of the plane, so in the event of it crashing (and assuming my SD memory card survives), investigators can look at it and say "hey, wasn't that plane supposed to have 4 engines?" Here is an inevitable photo of a thing in Toronto.  I spent several hours in a park at it's base yesterday, as the hotel wasn't expecting me until next week and it was fully booked, so I was ALONE, LOST and HOMELESS in a foreign land.  There's a little railway museum there, so I wandered around that, drinking coke and getting sunburnt.  Lots of bike here, even spotted a VFR hiding from the sun: Spotted this too, weighs about the same as a VFR I'd imagine. Found another (expensive) hotel for the night, so I didn't have to sleep on a bench.
